Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

I see that you don’t stock a particular item/food that I am looking for. Can you get it?
We would be more than happy to look into special ordering that item for you! Sure we’re a big store, but unfortunately we just don’t have the ability to stock everything. We do not charge any additional fees for special orders. Depending on the item and where it comes from it may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to get in, so please contact us for more information.

When is your shot clinic?
Every Sunday from 2:30 to 4:00pm. If we are closed due to a holiday then there would likely be no shot clinic that day. The shot clinic is provided by Good Neighbor Vet.

Do you sell any live pets?
We do not sell any live animals at all. Instead we are more than willing to offer up contact information for one of the many adoption and rescue groups in the Portland area. There are a lot of loving critters out there in need of equally loving homes. We also have a few groups that come in to our store with outreaches for adoptable pets — Rabbit Advocates, Animal Aid and the Columbia County Humane Society.

Do you deliver?
Yes, we most certainly do! Although it’s typically bulkier items and larger quantities, we won’t say no to the smallest of requests. Our basic delivery fee is $35.00 for the area surrounding our store. That amount scales up with distance from our location.

Do you have more than one store?
At this time we only have the one location in the Raleigh Hills area of Portland.

Do you sell prescription diets for my cat/dog?
Unfortunately we do not have access to any of the prescription lines at this time. That being said, if you are able to bring an ingredient listing in we would be more than happy to help you find something comparable in our store if it is available.

What flea treatments do you sell? Do I need a prescription for them?
We currently stock both Frontline Plus and Advantage. There is no prescription needed to purchase them at our store. Please give us a call for our current pricing.

Do you provide on training on site?
Yes we do! We provide space in our store for the wonderful Barbara Tuler of The Pet Consultants to come in and do on site training. Call Barbara today for more details: (503) 646-1442

What payment types do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, local checks (with proof of ID) and good old fashioned cash.

What is your return policy?
Most items carry a 30 day return policy, as long as you keep the original packaging and receipt. There are some exceptions to that such as cat furniture, crates and beds, which only have a 48 hour guarantee. Anything beyond those limits will typically be subject to a 20% restocking fee. See in-store for more details.

Food and other edible products are guaranteed by the manufacturer(s) and we stand behind their guarantee(s) 100%. If your pet won’t eat it, simply return it with the original packaging.
